The Situation

John Smulo, the owner, was looking for talented writers with vast knowledge about digital marketing to publish content for his agency’s blog.

The Challenge

Hiring a remote writer can be challenging due to the hassle of different time zones, lack of management and accountability that on-site work consists, and flaky personalities of creatives. The ideal writer is a self-starter who can perform research on target audiences, create several blog ideas and manage excellent content with little direction.

The Solution

I wrote marketing articles appealing to small business owners that increased engagement on social media. I took the initiative by working with marketing director, Melanie Benitez, to develop a 30+ page e-book about inbound marketing and ghost write SEO-friendly articles for clients. By communicating via email, we published long-form content that grew leads and satisfied clients. My impact went beyond submitting articles to becoming an important member of Purple Cow’s creative team.
